About the WVMS Legislation
Contact-us and learn moreWales Vessel Monitoring Scheme (WVMS) legislation requires all fishing vessels under 12 meters in length operating in Welsh waters or by Welsh fishers to install and operate an Inshore Vessel Monitoring System (iVMS) device during fishing activities. This regulation is part of the Sea Fishing Operations (Monitoring Devices) (Wales) Order 2022 and aims to enhance sustainable fishery management and compliance within Welsh zones.
